Atlanta Hawks hosting free drive-thru grocery pop-up in Gwinnett

The Atlanta Hawks, State Farm and anti-hunger organization Goodr are hosting a free drive-thru grocery store in Norcross this week.

The NBA team has been working with the two companies to feed people in metro Atlanta since its season was cut short due to coronavirus on March 11. The need for feeding programs and food banks has grown in Atlanta and nationwide as the pandemic has caused millions of people to lose their jobs.

Pre-registration is required to participate in the event, and all registration spots are already full. Those who do not register will not be able to take 五星棋牌 food.

Between 300 and 500 families are expected to receive fresh produce, shelf-stable food items and other essentials Friday.

Many malls have been closed for more than a month due to the coronavirus pandemic.
